In een stadstuin in Utrecht heeft een mannetje van de Gewone Pad (Bufo bufo) een vrouwtje in amplexus. Tijdens deze paargreep houdt het mannetje het vrouwtje stevig vast en laat meestal pas los nadat de bevruchting, in het water, heeft plaatsgevonden.
In a city garden in Utrecht a male of the Common Toad (Bufo bufo) holds a female in amplexus. During these grip the male holds the female firmly and usually leave only after the fertilization, in the water, took place.
