In verzorgingstehuis Rumah Kita in Wageningen wordt de jaarlijkse Indië-herdenking gehouden. Op 15 augustus 1945 capituleerde Japan, maar vlak daarna begon de bersiap periode in voormalig Nederlands-Indië. Met de herdenking wordt stil gestaan bij de roerige tijd, waarbij veel Indo's het land moesten verlaten.
